SUPERVISES: Club and Activity Sponsors, Licensed Staff, and Non-Licensed staff as assigned by the Principal
POSITION OBJECTIVE: The Director of Fine and Applied Arts will foster a creative environment that encourages student expression, critical thinking, and artistic excellence. By managing a talented team of educators and collaborating with students, faculty, parents, and the broader community, the director will enhance the cultural life of the school and create opportunities for students to develop their artistic skills and talents. Additionally, the Fine and Applied Arts Director will ensure the program aligns with the school's educational mission and the Board of Education, provides equitable access to all students, and cultivates a lifelong appreciation for the arts.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 205 day work calendar with irregular or extended work hours including evenings and weekends.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is continuously interacting with the public, staff, and students. The employee frequently must meet multiple demands from several people. The employee is regularly required to sit and stand. The employee is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. SALARY RANGE: Target hiring range for this position will be between $130,000 to $160,000 per year. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
