What are the responsibilities and job description for the Team Lead, Service Parts position at Nilfisk?
MAJOR FUNCTION
This role is responsible for leading the daily operations within the Service Shipping / Export Department to ensure accurate and timely shipments with maximum efficiency. Provide coaching assistance to the department team members while maintaining all company policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Int’l Service Team:
- Responsible for managing activity / work flow related to service shipping & Int’l service.
- Communicate any known deficiencies in order fulfillment to USDC Management.
- Ability to supervise direct reports.
Service Shipping Team:
- Organize, distribute and control the order of all service
- Shipping operations paper work (e.g. customer orders, order confirmation and shipping
documents.
- Plan schedules in support of shipping orders to meet customer ship dates.
- Insure that all the required documentation and computer entries are completed accurately in
accordance with all company policies to meet shipping schedules.
- Coordinate with other operational groups, internal and external customers, to insure accuracy of on-time shipments.
- Develop and publish order fulfillment and lead time accuracy reporting methods for the USDC.
- Maintain active involvement in cross-functional strategic or operational projects that support the
USDC and or Global Operations strategy. Will supervise direct reports.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to (1) year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to add, subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding and knowledge.
- Ability to operate a fork-lift.
- Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Provide leadership and line management to the team; coordinating workloads.
- Ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and quality standards are being met in accordance with customer requirements.
- Continuously develop the team by focusing on individual performance and support requirements to achieve high standards, while fostering a culture of working safely.
- Requires periodic overtime and standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, bending, reaching.
- Must have experience leading / supervising employees.
- Must be able to sustain and drive 5S activities and initiatives for a clean and organized environment.
- Work positively with support functions to fully define the processes/procedures/controls relevant to team activities. Provide support and input to continuous improvement activities within the team.
COMPUTER SKILLS: must have basic computer skills.

The estimated pay range indicates the expected annualized pay range for this position. It may not include potential bonus incentives such as annual bonus’ as well as sales and sales related incentives, or overtime (on eligible positions). The actual pay offered may vary based on several factors, including the applicant's qualifications, relevant experience, unique skills, education level, certifications or licenses, and the location from which they will work. The final pay determination will comply with state or local minimum wage laws applicable to the job's location. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
