Title: Medical Office Assistant

Role Summary: The medical office assistant is responsible for providing day-to-day support operations by performing administrative tasks and ensuring high-quality customer service to patients. Medical office assistants provide revenue cycle support, scheduling, patient communication, and other key patient related services.
Responsibilities:
- Using the EMR to document patient clinical data (e.g., medical history and referral information).
- Patient Registration
- Schedule appointments and procedures
- Answer and triage phone calls, follow up with patients, etc.
- Assist patients with initial paperwork.
- Accurately update and maintain patients' health records.
- Communicate test results to patients when directed by physicians or as dictated by operational protocol.
- Assist patients with re-scheduling appointments and other scheduling issues.
- Remote Patient Activities
- All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- 3 years of Medical Assistant or Medical Office Assistant experience required; pulmonology preferred.
- 2 years of EMR experience required; Eclinical Works, preferred.
- Formal Medical Assistant or Medical Office assistant training, desired, CMA/RMA certification preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid COVID-19 vaccination desired
- Genuine passion for patient care-Expected
