Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with extensive Oil & Gas industry experience. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in data integration, ETL development, and cloud-based data pipelines. Former contractors are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Data Integration and ETL solutions to process Oil & Gas production data.
- Work extensively with Databricks and Snowflake for data engineering tasks.
- Design and implement data pipelines and analytics architectures.
- Manage and analyze production volumes, well pressure, and temperature data.
- Optimize SQL queries and Python scripts for data processing and analytics.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to provide insights on production metrics.
- Implement DevOps best practices for CI/CD pipelines (Preferred).
Mandatory Skills & Experience
- 3 years of hands-on experience in Databricks and Snowflake.
- Strong programming proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience with Oil & Gas production data, including monthly/daily volumes.
- Knowledge of well production parameters (pressure, temperature, volumes).
- Cloud platform expertise (Azure or AWS).
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Power BI or other Business Intelligence tools (MS Platform preferred).
- Azure Data Factory for data orchestration.
- SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS).
- Understanding of DevOps fundamentals.
