About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Java Developer to join our team for a key project involving the migration of on-premises applications to the cloud (AWS) and additional development initiatives. This role requires a strong background in Java development, cloud technologies, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The developer will work closely with Business Analysts and other team members to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Business Analysts to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs.
Develop high-quality source code for applications.
Create and execute unit test cases to ensure code quality.
Provide support for functional and system integration testing.
Deploy applications and ensure successful launches.
Support production systems as required and meet development schedules.
Contribute to technical architecture decisions to build and maintain scalable software platforms.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of development experience in Java/J2EE technologies.
Proficiency in Spring Framework, Spring MVC, and ORM frameworks like myBatis or Hibernate.
Hands-on experience with Java, JavaScript, JSP, CSS, HTML, jQuery.
Expertise in AWS Cloud Technologies, including S3, EC2, and Kubernetes.
Strong proficiency in relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or DB2, with experience writing complex queries and optimizing database performance.
Familiarity with NoSQL databases, such as DynamoDB, DocumentDB, or MongoDB, for handling unstructured data.
Proficient in XML, JSON, and AJAX techniques.
Experience using and implementing RESTful web services.
Knowledge of multi-threading in Java, particularly using the Executor Framework.
Solid understanding of SQL database design.
Experience with CI/CD Pipelines, Jenkins, and Maven.
Preferred Skills:
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills for collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
