We are currently seeking a friendly, self motivated and experienced candidate to join our team of professionals. Below is a brief description of some of the duties that is expected of the ideal candidate:
Requirements:
- Must have clean & unrestricted Maryland license
- Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
- Must be able to become credentialed with Medicare and other commercial payors.
- Substance abuse experience is a plus!
- · Must be able to see and treat patients of all ages.
- You must be able to work weekends.
- · Working Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations including the requirements of the HIPAA and OSHA and applicable state rules and regulations pertinent to medical practice
- · Ability to learn computer software programs; enter and maintain accurate data and statistical information in order to consistently prepare clear and concise reports, correspondence and other written materials
- · Ability to Prescribe dosages and instruct patients in correct usage (this includes uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods)
- · Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment.
- · Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions and refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.
Skills and Knowledge:
- 1-2 years post-graduate experience with psychiatric assessment, follow up evaluations and psychopharmacological management for adolescents/children
- Provided counseling and education to patients and families
- Excellent communication, patient relations, time management skills and safety awareness are required
- Identified and managed crisis intervention of patients.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and scheduling.
- Order diagnostic tests for routine monitoring, r/o medical related illnesses and review relevant medical records
- Coordinated care in collaboration with community providers
- Knowledge of health and patient care regulations and promote health maintenance
- Strong work ethics, team spirit with a positive attitude
- Willingness to continue gaining knowledge, clinical experience and updated EBP
- Professional Liability Insurance, DEA and CDS are Current/Active
- Self-motivated and capable of working fairly independently

Your earning potential is based on your skills, experience, and qualifications. Our intake appointments are 90 minutes long and follow up medication checks are 20 minutes. Once credentialed, you will start your case load.

Pay: $85.00 - $100.00 per hour
