Reports To : Director of Manufacturing
SUMMARY : The New Product Introduction (NPI) / Technical Services Manager plays a crucial role in driving the success of meeting customer expectation in new product introduction by effectively managing resources, fostering teamwork, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Their primary role is to plan, coordinate, and control part creation, plate manufacturing, and coordination of manufacturing scheduling methods for all manufacturing sites.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES : Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Create and maintain / administer new product introduction processes that accommodate simple product modifications and full product development with appropriate processes for each category.
- Maintain relationships with stakeholders and provide common schedule communication channels for each facility with purchasing, sales, product management, etc.
- Produce and / or oversee the creation of copy cards for manufacture of labels.
- Create and maintain scheduling process that is uniform throughout company manufacturing facilities. Schedulers who are dedicated to this function within facilities will report to this position.
- Manage system of communication of schedules to other organizations. (Customer Service, sales, etc.)
- Develop and maintain production rate data used in costing throughout the manufacturing facilities.
- Design and manufacture of plates used in label printing.
- Maintain plate equipment and monitor developments in plate manufacturing to keep with the most efficient, highest quality, plate production with minimum impact to the environment.
- Develop and maintain product creation process within the ERP system.
- Develop and report on KPIs for the department quality and responsiveness.
- Health and Safety Compliance : Ensure that processes and equipment within the department comply with health and safety regulations. Promote a safe working environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

The physical demands for this position would require a normal range of mobility necessary to physically enter and move in a manufacturing environment and interface with all functions within the facility. The employee is frequently required to talk and listen.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS : Moderate
WORK ENVIRONMENT : While performing the duties of this job, the employee primarily works in an office and production floor environment. The employee is frequently required to enter and work in the production area of the facility with exposure to loud noises and moving equipment.
