Responsibilities
- Provide personal care to patients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure patient safety.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in patient conditions to nursing staff.
- Administer catheter care and maintain aseptic techniques during procedures.
- Support patients with daily activities such as eating, toileting, and hygiene.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and common areas.
- Document patient care activities accurately using eClinicalWorks or similar systems.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in various departments including ICU, PICU, and infectious disease care units.
- Engage in caregiving activities that promote patient comfort and emotional well-being.
Qualifications
- Must be a certified State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA).
- Experience in assisted living or clinical settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with catheter care and aseptic techniques is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
