COMPENSATION:

OBJECTIVE
The Transportation/HSE Specialist provides regional support for the company's Transportation/HSE initiatives and oversight to both operations management and field staff. Through various methods, the specialist provides leadership in implementing, developing, and administering safety practices, policies, and training.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Conduct regular Transportation/HSE inspections of company facilities and locations to ensure they meet company and regulatory compliance. Document inspections and assist management in developing corrective action plans. Follow up on completion of action plans.
· Perform Transportation/HSE Facility and Field compliance audits/Gate Checks
· Implement assigned responsibilities as defined by the Transportation/HSE Manager and supervisor.
· Report any potential unsafe conditions and work with team to prevent unsafe conditions
· Coordinate training of employees, including new hire orientations, on Transportation/HSE requirements to ensure compliance with regulations
· Communicate safety/transportation standards to workers at work sites to ensure compliance with Company, Customer Government Legislation and Industry Standards
· Manage and support safety meeting processes, both at facility and at field work sites
· Ensure required HSE and Transportation reporting is completed on time and accurately
· Assist with managing incident response
· Conduct facility/site Emergency Response Plan drills
· Work with high integrity and comply with corporate guidelines on business ethics
· Develop and maintain relationships and communication channels with assigned business units
· Assist in maintaining, tracking and trending of safety and Transportation statistics
· Conduct annual MVR and DRE reviews for all NES DOT drivers
· Assist the Transportation Admin with DQ document compliance for CPA, UPA, MOH. (Medical cards, DLs, and Haz Mat endorsements)
EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma required
- Ability to successfully pass MVR, background check, and company/customer drug test requirements
- Preferred experience in oilfield safety or related field required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout assigned region and other regions as necessary
- Approachable and responsible resource able to connect with employees at all levels
