Retail Associate
Overview of Job
Retail Associates are responsible for generating sales by providing all customers with an exceptional shopping experience resulting in positive customer relationships and a profitable store. They are expected to always embody and represent the Nine Line company culture and brand image while ensuring adherence to policies and procedures in order to maintain a positive working environment.

- Able to stand and move about for extended periods of time with short rest breaks.
- Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with Shopify POS system and payment/cash handling policies.
Essential Functions
- Consistently demonstrate the Nine Line brand standards to deliver an exceptional customer experience and achieve sales goals.
- Perform quick and accurate register transactions while adhering to company standards and policies.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by effectively communicating with coworkers and treating one another with kindness and respect.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on all product offerings.
- Provide support to coworkers through sharing of product knowledge and assisting with completing of tasks.
- Maintain standards of a clean and organized sales floor, cash wrap, fitting room, and processing room to ensure the store environment is safe and presentable for employees and customers.
- Proactively resolve customer concerns in a manner that is consistent with company policies. Collaborate with store leadership on elevated issues.
- Ensure sales floor restock is conducted each day.
Work Environment
- This job operates in a retail store setting in addition to some time spent in a warehouse environment. Retail Associates will be required to use standard store equipment including POS systems, telephones, and folding equipment.
Physical Demands
- This position requires long periods of standing and walking, ability to lift and move up to 50lbs.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
- This position is full-time and part-time. Full-time retail associates are expected to work 40 hours a week. Part-time retail associates are expected to work 15-30 hours a week.
Travel
- Travel is very minimal except for occasional events.
Required Education and Experience
- Retail experience is preferred but not required.
