Job Summary:
The Food Runner/Busser plays a key role in the smooth operation of the dining experience by supporting the service team. This position involves running food from the kitchen to the dining room, assisting in clearing and resetting tables, and ensuring that guests have a clean and enjoyable environment. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about providing excellent service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Delivery: Transport food orders from the kitchen to the appropriate tables promptly and efficiently, ensuring that the correct items are delivered.
- Assisting Servers: Support servers by refilling water glasses, bringing extra items (bread, condiments, etc.), and responding to guest requests when necessary.
- Table Setup and Clean-Up: Assist in clearing tables of dishes, silverware, and glassware in a timely manner, wiping down tables, and resetting them for the next service.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the dining room and service areas clean and organized throughout the shift. This includes sweeping floors, restocking supplies, and cleaning spills as needed.
- Guest Interaction: Provide excellent customer service by being polite and courteous with guests, ensuring their needs are met throughout their dining experience.
- Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff and servers to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of food service.
- Adhere to Club Standards: Ensure all tasks are performed in line with Awbrey Glen Golf Club’s high standards of service and cleanliness.
Requirements:
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, carry trays, and lift items up to 25 pounds.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy when delivering food and maintaining a clean dining environment.
- Team Player: Must be able to work well with others in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with team members.
- Positive Attitude: Friendly demeanor with a customer-first mindset.
- Previous Experience: Experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred, but not required.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
