Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and general ledger accounts.
- Utilize QuickBooks and other accounting software to track financial transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Interpret financial data to provide insights on performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards as applicable.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and other accounting software.
- Strong understanding of financial management principles and concepts.
- Experience with financial report interpretation is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of private equity or governmental accounting is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve problems effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
