Position Overview
Ning Solutions is seeking to recruit and hire a talented professional for the role of Workforce Development (WFD) Support Specialist to support The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division in our Human Capital Portfolio. This role is instrumental in helping our clients achieve their mission objectives efficiently and effectively. This position will be hybrid, requiring 50% in-office presence and 50% remote work. Position Title
Workforce Development (WFD) Support Specialist
Summary/Purpose of the Position
The Workforce Development Support Specialist will provide HR administrative support to NSWCPD’ workforce development branch located in the HR Office. This role is focused on supporting training programs, mandatory compliance, onboarding activities, and various workforce development initiatives. Contingent upon award
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the command’s training tools, including:
- Creating course offerings.
- Maintaining registration lists
- Inputting course catalog items.
- Escort facilitators and employees to training classrooms.
- Scan and track training attendance.
- Track nominated candidates for external leadership programs.
- Monitor mandatory training requirements, report delinquent statuses, and update all systems.
- Support the Academic Program Manager by:
- Tracking and collecting course completions.
- Colleting and maintaining continued service agreements.
- Collecting book reimbursement paperwork.
- Assist training specialist with onboarding programs, including;
- Printing, copying, and delivering onboarding materials.
- Maintaining the onboarding schedule.
- Deliver course materials mailed by instructors to classrooms.
- Distribute and collect course evaluation surveys.
Job Analysis
- A minimum of 3 years of HR experience in relevant areas, including labor relations, employee relations, or human capital management.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Familiarity with training tools and HR systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling administrative tasks.
