Responsibilities
- Prepare and present a variety of sushi dishes, including nigiri, sashimi, and rolls, with attention to detail and artistic flair.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh and of high quality, sourcing seafood and produce from reputable suppliers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to strict food safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with other kitchen and front staff to ensure smooth meal preparation and timely service.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
- Follow all restaurant policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting with guests when needed, explaining the menu and making recommendations.
Requirements
- Preferred but not required: experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant or culinary field.
- Preferred but not required: Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine, sushi preparation techniques, and knife skills.
