Job Description:
We are seeking an ambitious, detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our growing team in Atlanta, GA. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in the commercial construction industry. Interns are welcome to apply!
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the project management team throughout all stages of the construction process. You will assist with project planning, scheduling, budget tracking, and coordination with contractors, architects, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing daily project operations to ensure timely and on-budget project delivery.
- Collaborate with the project manager to maintain and update project schedules.
- Assist with coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and construction teams.
- Help with reviewing project documentation, contracts, and plans for accuracy.
- Monitor project progress and resolve issues or delays promptly.
- Ensure compliance with safety and building codes on all projects.
- Communicate effectively with all team members to promote a cohesive working environment.
Qualifications:
- Strong interest in the construction industry with a focus on commercial projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or currently pursuing).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with construction software and tools (preferred, but not required).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous internship or experience in construction is a plus, but not required.
