Nino Development is looking for a skilled Chief Estimator (Commercial) to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced estimator to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of a well-established company in the construction industry.
As the Chief Estimator, you will lead the estimation process for commercial construction projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the development of bid proposals. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in commercial construction estimating, a deep understanding of cost analysis, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the estimation process for commercial construction projects from start to finish.
- Review project plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and other resources.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure all elements of the project are considered.
- Conduct site visits to gather accurate data for estimating purposes.
- Analyze historical data to improve the accuracy of future estimates.
- Review and manage bid documents and subcontractor proposals to ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and submit proposals within set deadlines.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
- Ensure estimates are competitive and align with the company's business goals and financial objectives.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chief Estimator or similar role in the commercial construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and estimating software.
- Expertise in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to lead and collaborate with teams effectively.
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., ProEst, Timberline, or similar tools).
- A degree in construction management, engineering, or related field is preferred.
