Civil Project Manager (Bridge and Heavy Highway Construction)

Nino Development is seeking a skilled Civil Project Manager with a strong background in bridge and heavy highway construction to join our growing team in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing complex civil infrastructure projects, particularly in bridge and heavy highway construction, while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role will require strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills to effectively oversee multiple projects from planning to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee bridge and heavy highway construction projects, ensuring that all phases are completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all applicable codes and regulations.
• Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and schedules, while ensuring all resources are allocated effectively.
• Lead and supervise project teams, including engineers, field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Collaborate with the design team and stakeholders to review and ensure the technical accuracy of project plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Monitor project progress, track milestones, and adjust plans to meet deadlines and deliverables.
• Ensure that all projects are executed in compliance with safety standards, quality controls, and industry regulations.
• Review and approve subcontractor and vendor contracts, ensuring proper documentation and performance on projects.
• Perform risk management and provide solutions to project challenges, keeping stakeholders informed of progress and issues.
• Manage project financials, including invoicing, cost tracking, and change orders.
• Prepare detailed project reports, including daily logs, progress updates, and financial summaries.
• Ensure clear communication with clients, stakeholders, and the internal project team to ensure project expectations are met.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Civil Project Manager in bridge and heavy highway construction.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, codes, and regulations specific to civil infrastructure projects.
• Experience with project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, Microsoft Project).
• In-depth knowledge of bridge construction methods, heavy highway construction, and related materials.
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• OSHA certification or other safety training preferred.
