Estimator (Structural Steel Fabrication)

Nino Development has partnered with a highly reputable AISC Certified Structural Steel Fabricator in the Atlanta, GA area on their search for an Estimator to focus on work in the commercial sector working in a team to put together estimates ranging in value up to $60M..

As a Project Estimator, your main responsibility will be to compile estimates for the cost of work by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. Included in this will be the estimation of labor, material, equipment, and time requirements in order to compute the overall cost and duration of the project.

Job Title: Estimator (Structural Steel Fabrication)

Project Types: Healthcare, Schools/Education, Office Buildings, Retail

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform all responsibilities of a Project Estimator including but not limited to the following:
• Review project plans, requirements, and specifications
• Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and material pricing
• Propose value engineering options to reduce project cost
• Determine costs of labor, material, and equipment
• Push the evolution of the construction documents as necessary
• Prepare conceptual estimates
• Meet and maintain bidding and work schedules
• Submit requisitions for the purchase of materials
• Compare competitive specialist and material

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related is preferred.
• 3 years Estimating projects for reputable steel fabricators
• Fabsuite/Tekla EPM/Tekla Powerfab or Fabtrol experience highly desirable
• Structural Steel Fabrication Experience
• Knowledge of AISC standards

Pay: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
