Nino Development has partnered with a highly reputable nationally renowned Security, Fire & Life Safety Systems Integrator located in the Greater Pittsburg, PA area. We are seeking a skilled Installation Security Technician to install CCTV, Access Control, and Intrusion systems in commercial properties. Responsibilities include installing, programming, and commissioning medium to high-complexity electronic security systems. Operating with minimal supervision, this role ensures the successful and timely completion of projects while providing mentorship to junior technicians.
Job Title: Installation Security Systems Technician (Commercial)
Project Types: Commercial, Office Buildings, Industrial Buildings, Mixed-Use, Retail, Tenant Improvements, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and program medium to high-complexity security systems per scope of work.
- Support complex projects alongside Field Support Engineers.
- Mentor and coach less experienced technicians.
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer installation and service concerns.
- Follow and interpret device I/O schedules, system drawings, and wiring schematics.
- Mark up as-built documentation, system diagrams, and device schedules.
- Conduct system testing to ensure functionality and compliance with project specifications.
- Train end users on system operation and functionality.
- Ensure projects are completed efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Assist Project Managers with IT coordination, commissioning, and final documentation.
- Maintain clean workspaces and track unused materials.
- Provide regular project updates to Operations or Project Managers.
- Perform on-call duties and light service calls as required.
- Travel and overnight stays for remote job locations and training sessions as necessary.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid state-issued driver’s license.
- Meet state requirements for alarm licensing and electronics security credentials.
- Basic knowledge of network troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in electronics installation, troubleshooting, and field test equipment usage (e.g., multimeters, cable testers, fiber kits).
- Familiarity with electronic security system design and implementation.
- Certifications and knowledge of at least three supported manufacturers such as Milestone®, RS2®, GenetecTM, Feenics®, or Avigilon® within 1 year.
- Proficiency in office tools like Bluebeam®, Microsoft Office Suite®, and ConnectWise®.
- Ability to work safely at heights with ladders and aerial lifts.
- Capable of leading field crews on mid-sized projects and mentoring junior staff.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
