Position Overview:
As the Lead Operator at Nino Development, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, including dozers, excavators, and motor graders, on commercial and residential sitework projects. In this leadership role, you’ll oversee a team of operators, ensuring that all equipment is used safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety on the job site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate dozers, excavators, and motor graders for site preparation, grading, and excavation on commercial and residential projects.
- Lead and supervise a team of equipment operators to ensure the proper use and maintenance of machinery.
- Collaborate with the site foreman and project managers to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and according to project specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Ensure accurate documentation of machine hours, work completed, and maintenance performed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues on equipment as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience operating dozers, excavators, and motor graders on commercial and residential construction sites.
- Strong knowledge of sitework, grading, excavation, and general construction operations.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team and ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and OSHA standards.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
