What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager (Light Industrial) position at Nino Development?
Nino Development has partnered with a highly successful Commercial/Light Industrial General Contractor in the Charlotte area on their search for a Project Manager with experience in the Commercial and Light Industrial sector to work on medium to large scale Commercial and Light Industrial Ground-up projects ranging in value up to $50 Million.
The Project Manager will be the company representative at the project site and oversee the entirety of the project. You will serve as the company's point of contact both with the client and with the construction team. You will engage in and influence the safety culture and have the authority to make decisions on the team's behalf about such items as cost and schedule. The Project Manager will also take part in selecting and mentoring project staff and ensuring that the entire team works together efficiently to complete the project safely, on time, and on budget.
Project Types: Commercial (Churches), Light Industrial (Tilt Up/Warehouses), Manufacturing (Pharmaceutical Upgrades)
Key Responsibilities:
- Able to perform all essential Project Manager job responsibilities
- Experience and comfort performing Assistant Project Manager’s and Project Engineer’s responsibilities
- Maintain the project schedule and budget
- Develop and maintain a good relationship with Owner, Architect, and Contractors
- Provide the client with value-engineered solutions when applicable
- Work with estimating, helping establish budgets and contract price
- Negotiate cost-effective contracts and material purchases
- Set up and implement job procedures and techniques to assure timely buyout, shop drawing approval, and material delivery
- Work with Superintendent to develop safety plans and to implement safety procedures
- Manage project deliverables
- Oversee and mentor the project staff to foster a positive team setting
Skills & Qualification:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related.
- 3 years managing projects for a reputable Commercial Construction team(s).
- Commercial, Industrial and Manufacturing Building experience
- Procore software experience is required
