Job Description:
You will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of security system installations for commercial properties. You will manage all phases of the project lifecycle, from initial planning and design through to installation and final handover. This includes managing teams, timelines, budgets, and ensuring that projects meet the needs of clients while adhering to industry standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full lifecycle of commercial security systems projects, including system design, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
- Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure the successful delivery of security systems, including CCTV, access control, intrusion alarms, and other security technologies.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resources, to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their security needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Lead project meetings, provide regular updates to clients and senior management, and ensure clear communication between all stakeholders.
- Oversee the installation of security systems, ensuring all work meets client specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Conduct site visits to monitor project progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high-quality installation.
- Manage project documentation, including change orders, contracts, and permits.
- Ensure compliance with all local and national security regulations and standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or delays that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Provide post-installation support, including system training for clients and addressing any maintenance or operational concerns.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the commercial security systems industry, with a focus on CCTV, access control, and other security technologies.
- Strong knowledge of commercial security systems and installation practices, including system integration and troubleshooting.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and collaborate with clients, contractors, and vendors.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Buildertrend).
- Ability to read and interpret security system designs, schematics, and blueprints.
- In-depth understanding of local and national security regulations, codes, and industry standards.
- Ability to handle complex projects and provide innovative solutions to meet client needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Security Systems, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the commercial security industry.
- Certifications in security systems management (e.g., NICET, PMP) are a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
