Job Description: Ninyo & Moore has an immediate opening in our northern California offices for a Staff- or Project-level DOSH-certified Site Surveillance Technician or Certified Asbestos Consultant. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a Certified Asbestos Consultant/Industrial Hygienist or Certified Industrial Hygienist. Duties include conducting asbestos and lead based paint surveys and assessments, preparing hazmat Survey reports, preparing abatement specifications and operations and maintenance plans, and providing abatement monitoring/oversight/clearance sampling.
Education: Associate's degree or equivalent preferred; however, proven experience may be considered in lieu of Associate's degree.
Required Skills: This position requires the appropriate California certifications and experience performing and overseeing asbestos, lead-based paint, microbiological and hazardous building-material surveys and abatement oversight/monitoring. Appropriate certifications include some or all of the following: Certified Asbestos Consultant, Site Surveillance Technician, and Lead Inspector/Assessor/Project Monitor. Individuals with California asbestos and lead experience and certifications are preferred. Experience with other environmental work such as subsurface soil and groundwater investigations is a plus, but is not required.
