Job Description : Ninyo & Moore has an immediate opening for a Field Technician to perform construction materials testing and monitoring for all phases of construction including concrete, soils, and asphalt. Responsible for transporting equipment, specimens or documents to field personnel, laboratory, clients or other offices, and provides physical assistance in equipment set-up. Reviews data for compliance with project requirements, reviews and / or observes soil conditions in simple footings or piers. Coordinates and communicates clearly with the on-site client representative, the construction project manager and / or inspector, and the contractor with regard to the soil or concrete requirements for the project.
Education : Nuclear gauge certification; ACI Field Technician - Level 1
Required Skills : The successful candidate should have 1-5 years of soil and concrete testing experience or equivalent and be thoroughly knowledgeable with standard soil and concrete test methods performed by a field technician. The candidate must also be able to read and understand plans and specifications, keep an organized field file containing field and laboratory data, reports, letters, and other pertinent field documentation. Candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, positive attitude, good organizational skills, and a strong work ethic. Must have a valid drivers license and a good driving record.
