OVERVIEW
The school nurse is responsible for developing, implementing and managing a school health program for a school population as defined by the school district. Responsibilities include program management, nursing services, collaboration, health education, community health planning, and professional practice.
QUALIFICATIONS:
--Registered Nurse (RN) with MA Board of Registration in Nursing
--MA Certification as a school nurse (DESE) or license eligible
--Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Masters in Nursing or Education preferred
--Excellent communication, organizational, and management skills
--Excellent interpersonal skills
--Experience caring for children with health care needs preferred
