What are the responsibilities and job description for the Labor Relations Manager position at Nippon Dynawave Packaging Co.?
This position in Nippon Dynawave Packaging reports to the Director, Human Resources and Supply Chain. This position is responsible for managing employee and labor relations between the company and its employees.
Key Functions:
· Plan, direct, and coordinate employee and labor relations programs and policies.
· Negotiate collective bargaining agreements with labor unions.
· Advise management on labor law and collective bargaining issues.
· Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations
· Plan and coordinate employee grievance procedures
· Develop and implement mediation and arbitration programs
· Oversee, Analyze, and interpret labor contracts.
· Investigate and resolve labor disputes.
· Identify and investigate potential employee misconduct complaints including Harassment and Code of Conduct violations.
· Monitor labor relations regulations and legislation.
· Ensure compliance to company’s employment policies
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Labor Relations, Business Law, or a related field.
· 5 - years experience in managing employee and labor relations with a proven track record for leading employee and labor relations initiatives.
· Previous collective bargaining negotiation experience required.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Understanding of federal, state and local labor laws and regulations
· Experience in labor contract administration
· Knowledge of labor relations principles
· Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
· Ability to handle multiple projects and competing priorities
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Proficient with Microsoft Office and HRIS.
