This position is for Nippon Dynawave Packaging Co., which produces bleached paperboard used to make cartons and cups for liquids such as milk, juice, coffee and sake under the brand name Structure-Pak. This business produces 260,000 metric tons of paperboard each year -- the equivalent of 6 billion liter-sized milk cartons. This facility began operations in Longview, WA in 1953 and employs about 540 people shipping products all over North America, Mexico, Japan, China, Taiwan, and South Korea.
Job focus for engineering co-op/internships is typically over a 6-month period but we will consider 3-12 months so support the students class schedule. We can have co-op/internships in most engineering disciplines however our current focus is Chemical and Paper Science & Engineering for a position in our Technical and Quality Assurance Department. Other engineering disciplines will be considered as well: Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Structural.

- Must be obtaining an engineering degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Structural, Chemical or Paper Science & Engineering.
- Minimum sophomore standing, Strong preference given to students with a cumulative overall GPA of at least 3.0.
