Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Superintendent to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management and will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Superintendent will serve as the primary point of contact on-site, coordinating between various stakeholders, including subcontractors, clients, and project managers.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations on construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications to ensure accurate implementation of plans.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Prolog, and Bluebeam for project tracking and documentation.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues that arise.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Implement OSHA standards to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Prepare construction estimates and assist in the bidding process for new projects.
- Maintain clear communication with project stakeholders regarding timelines, changes, and progress updates.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction management or a related field is essential.
- Familiarity with pipeline construction is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in using construction management software such as Primavera or similar tools is highly desirable.
- Experience with blueprint reading and construction estimating is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on team collaboration and effective communication.
