Inventory Supervisor
At Nirvana Center, the Inventory Supervisor has many vital responsibilities to assist the Inventory Lead Supervisor in daily operations of the department. The Inventory Supervisor is to have semblance of the Inventory Lead Supervisor and how their team is ran, maintaining standards and policies put in place. Dedication, consistency, and strong leadership skills are the main attributes of one who is to occupy this position.
Essential Duties:
- Assistance of oversight on all inventory related operations for specific location
- Assure proper auditing with adherence to the SOP and schedule.
- Maintain disciplinary standards, fairly, across the board.
- Assist in proper and complete training of all employees.
- Maintain merchandising standards for sales floor/displays.
- Uphold consistent delegation skills for your staff.
- Provide proper and clear communication to support staff, your Store Manager, Lead Supervisor, and employees.
- Exhibiting persistent and strong leadership through example and experience.
Daily Tasks:
- Make tour notes at the beginning and middle of your day for the sales floor, inventory rooms, and in your system.
- Delegate tour notes to specific employees using your task board in order of importance.
- Intake any residual invoices from the previous day.
- Delegate any items in the intake room to employee rooms.
- Check the next day's deals and plan accordingly.
- Follow up that all cleaning and closing procedures are properly being done.
- Daily compliance checks on state regulations.
- Work with the team on any tasks needing to be done for the day.
Weekly Tasks:
- Attend and participate in meeting(s) coordinated by your IM to communicate opportunities and discuss future goals/plans.
- Attend and participate in weekly staff meetings where you discuss performance, changes, and anything else that needs to be addressed as a group.
- Write weekly update reports to your IM including any staffing issues/needs, any compliance concerns, any inventory, or operations needs, and anything worth mentioning. Due every Friday.
- Talk to your IM about who earned 'Rockstar of the Week'.
- Follow up on all store and employee needs.
Monthly Duties:
- Keep track of employees' progress to identify training needs and to reward good behavior through our top performer program.
- Audit waste log to make sure nothing was missed.
- Review state compliance checklist and fix any discrepancies in anticipation for a random state inspection.
- Prepare for an EOM audit.
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Organized with attention to detail.
- Works well under pressure and deadlines; ability to multitask.
- Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate staff.
- Excellent customer service abilities.
- Ability to develop and maintain budgets.
- Thorough understanding of company policies and practices.
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- At least one year of retail experience is highly preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking throughout the facility.
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds at times.
