Nirvana Kitchen & Wine Bar has moved to Hawthorn Row and we are expanding our staff! We have been in business for 17 years. We are a wine bar, wine shop and fresh scratch kitchen. We specialize in finding the best winemakers on the planet, from family-owned wineries producing small production wines. Our menu is chef-driven and inspired by cuisine from all around the world. We focus on fresh food that is fully prepared in-house from scratch. Nirvana is one of the few restaurants in Vernon Hills that is not a chain. We are seeking servers to add to our staff. This position could also have bar shifts avaialable.
Requirements
- Wine knowledge not necessary but major plus!
- Must be competitive with an attention to detail.
- Willingness to be cross-trained on the entire front of the house
- Ability to work in an environment with multiple focus areas that include: restaurant, bar, events and catering.
- Full or part-time position
- Work well in competitive, fast-paced environment
Responsibilities Deliver high caliber service, being engaged daily and engaging guests.Continuously keep and exceed restaurant standards
- Work in a clean, organized fashion following health codes and restaurant guidelines
- Follow all restaurant dress code and hygiene standards
- Show up ready to work on-time
Qualifications: 2-4 years of experience as a server or bar tender.
