Key Responsibilities
- Manage technical tasks and lead bridge design projects.
- Mentor and develop junior engineering staff.
- Provide operational and project management support to the bridge lead.
- Oversee the quality and technical aspects of projects assigned to you.
- Prepare conceptual, preliminary, and final design documents for various bridge structures.
- Execute and verify complex engineering calculations, plans, specifications, and estimates.
- Collaborate with clients to ensure effective project execution and satisfaction.
- Proficient in structural design codes, including AASHTO LRFD and AASHTO LRFR.
- Experienced in structural design software, particularly MIDAS.
- Familiar with providing services to NHDOT and/or VTrans.
- Demonstrated capacity to mentor and develop engineering staff.
- Strong oral and written communication abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
- Expertise in managing technical tasks and relevant staff.
- Competency in preparing design documents and performing quality control.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in Bridge Engineering.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
- A Professional Engineer (PE) License is preferred.
- Proven technical experience in bridge design is essential.
- Familiarity with Micro-station and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
- A solid understanding of AASHTO Design Guidelines is necessary.
