Key Responsibilities
- Manage technical tasks and oversee relevant staff in bridge engineering projects.
- Lead bridge design initiatives, ensuring high-quality execution and adherence to standards.
- Mentor and develop junior staff to build a strong team culture.
- Collaborate on business development efforts to expand project opportunities.
- Prepare comprehensive design documents including conceptual, preliminary, and final outputs.
- Conduct and verify complex engineering calculations, plans, specifications, and estimates for various bridge components.
- Ensure quality control, client coordination, and the seamless execution of all technical aspects of assigned projects.
- Proficiency with structural design codes, including AASHTO LRFD and AASHTO LRFR.
- Experience using structural design software such as MIDAS.
- Familiarity with providing engineering services to NHDOT and/or VTrans.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Competence in completing technical tasks related to concrete and steel structures, including decks, superstructures, and retaining walls.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in Bridge Engineering.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License is preferred.
- Demonstrated technical expertise in bridge design.
- Proficient in Micro-station and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Solid understanding of AASHTO Design Guidelines.
