What You’ll Do
- Model Development: Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models that optimize healthcare eligibility checks and improve operational efficiency.
- Data Analysis: Analyze complex healthcare datasets to derive actionable insights, focusing on improving patient-centric outcomes and transparency in healthcare expenses.
- Feature Engineering: Collaborate with engineering teams to implement data pipelines, ensuring high-quality and scalable data for model training.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and healthcare experts to align data insights with business objectives and patient needs.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for enhancing model performance and accuracy, leveraging A/B testing and iterative optimization.
- Data Quality: Maintain data integrity through rigorous validation and cleansing processes, ensuring that all data used in models is accurate, reliable, and ethical.
- Experience: 5 years of experience in data science, with a focus on machine learning and predictive modeling.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Python and relevant data science libraries (e.g., Pandas, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Experience with SQL and data querying in large datasets.
- Familiarity with healthcare data, including EHRs, eligibility data, and insurance systems, is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with visualization tools (e.g., Metabase) for communicating insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills with a strategic, outcomes-oriented mindset.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex ideas simply.
- A proactive approach to identifying and addressing data and process inefficiencies.
- Experience working in the healthcare or FinTech industry.
- A strong sense of empathy toward healthcare professionals, including billers and intake.
