What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional CDL-A Drivers Home Bi-Weekly Trainees Welcome position at NIS EXPRESS?

We’re looking for both experienced drivers and recent graduates from accredited driving schools to join our team. Start your journey with us by pairing with a trainer for OTR routes using 53' Dry Van Trailers. After training, you’ll transition to running the Eastern Seaboard Regional routes.

Experienced Truck Drivers - Eastern Seaboard Regional Route

Freight Type : 100% No Touch Dry Van

Home Time : Bi-weekly

Pay :

0.55 - $0.65 per mile (based on experience)
Weekly earnings : $1,200 - $1,400
15 per stop
Average miles : ~2,500 miles per week

Orientation Pay : $300 upon completion

Trainee (Recent Graduate) Truck Drivers - Eastern Seaboard Regional Route

Training Program :

4-6 weeks of paid OTR training with an experienced trainer

Route after training : Eastern Seaboard Regional

Transition Pay : Start earning $0.55 per mile after training

Requirements for Trainees :

Graduation from an accredited truck driving school (minimum 120 hours)

Must have held a driver’s license for at least 12 months

General Requirements for All Applicants :

Must be at least 21 years old with a valid Class A CDL

Clean driving record (no at-fault accidents, major tickets, or suspensions in the past 3 years)

No DUIs in the last 5 years or more than 2 lifetime DUIs (if prior to CDL-A)

No prior terminations from previous employment

Must pass urine and hair pre-employment drug screens

Criminal records will be reviewed by the safety team

Employment history : No large gaps (maximum of 6 months in the past year and 1 year in the past 3 years)
