Summary :
The Software Developer II for the Multispeak product is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that integrate with the MultiSpeak standard and our Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) software.
This position involves working with utility management systems from various vendors, ensuring seamless data exchange between them. The role requires expertise in Java, SQL, XML, JaxWS, WSDL, and Soap Webservices, along with a strong ability to debug both legacy and web-based software applications. The Software Developer II will contribute to both the development of new features and the maintenance of existing systems, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and reliable software solutions.
Essential Duties :
- Develop, test, and maintain software components that integrate with the MultiSpeak standard.
- Implement features and enhancements in Java, XML, and Soap Webservices to support integration with utility management systems.
- Work with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and create solutions that meet those needs.
- Debug and resolve issues in legacy systems as well as modern web applications.
- Maintain and improve the functionality, performance, and security of existing software products.
- Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards.
- Collaborate with product management and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Write clear, well-documented code and ensure proper testing is done for new features and bug fixes.
- Provide support and troubleshooting assistance to other teams working with Multispeak integrations.
- Continuously improve development processes and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
- Unit test and integration test code as required.
- Follow all established software development methodologies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field and / or equivalent experience.
