We are looking for people to join our team in the role of Supported Community Living Specialist in Residential Services to help Nishna Productions continue to grow and prosper.
We are looking to hire for Full-Time & Part-Time positions available in Red Oak, Iowa. We have all shifts available.
The position of Supported Community Living Specialist in Residential Services has a starting salary of $18 per hour based on education and experience. Requirements for the positions include:
· Must be at least 18 years of age. Require a High School diploma or GED.
· Prefer previous experience in Residential Services provided to individuals with intellectual, physical, and mental health disabilities. Experience in teaching skills of cooking, cleaning, and personal hygiene a plus.
· Ability to exercise sound judgement when the situation requires an immediate decision regarding the care of individuals served.
· Must be able to attain an Iowa Chauffeur's license. Maintain acceptable driving record as determined by agency insurance carrier.
· Must be able to complete medication management certification course once employed.
· Must work as a member of the team.
· Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
· Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
· Must be willing to work with individuals that have behavior disorders which may result in the display of aggressive behaviors. Become trained in behavior management techniques.
Responsibilities for the position include:
· Provide quality care to clients. Teach, train, and assist clients in developing the skills necessary to be as independent as possible when performing activities of daily living and integrating into their communities. Ex,) developing skills for participation in the community, accessing community services, coordinating health and medical needs, practicing emergency and safety skills, budgeting money, cooking, cleaning, laundry, etc.
· Complete data and documentation to meet quality standards.
· Provide a supportive and therapeutic environment.
· Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation as needed once trained.
· Comply with state and federal regulations regarding HIPAA.
