Job Description: Parts Manager – Nishna Valley Cycle
Position Overview:
The Parts Manager plays a critical role in the success of our dealershipby overseeing the operations of the parts department. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Parts Manager ensures that inventory is well-stocked, organized, and available to support the sales, service, and customer needs. This position requires strong organizational skills, exceptional customer service abilities, and a strongunderstanding of parts and accessories for several brands of motorcycle,side by side, atv, trailers, golf carts, and more.For the Parts Manager position, experience in this field is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain optimal stock of parts and accessories to meet demand without overstocking.
- Track and manage inventory using oursoftware systems, ensuring accurate records of stock, orders, and sales.
- Order parts and accessories from multiple different vendors and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
- Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Customer Service:
- Assist customers in identifying and selecting the appropriate parts and service itemsfor their machines.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns in a knowledgeable,professional and timely manner.
- Build strong relationships with customers to promote loyalty and repeat business.
- Collaboration with Service and Sales Departments:
- Work closely with the service department to ensure timely availability of parts for repairs and maintenance.
- Support the sales team by sourcing accessories and upgrade options for new and used machines.
- Provide expertise and product recommendations to team members and customerswhen needed.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Supervise, train, and mentor parts staff to enhance their product knowledge and customer service skills.
- Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during business hours.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.
- Financial Management:
- Monitor and control the parts department’s budget, including revenue targets and expense management.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Prepare and present regularreports on department performance to the General Manager.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure that all parts and accessories meet safety and quality standards.
- Comply with company policies and industry regulations related to inventory and workplace safety.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in a parts department, preferably within the powersportsindustry.
- Strong knowledge of powersportsparts, accessories, and maintenance needs.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
- Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Proficiency in inventory management software, and parts diagrams along withbasic computer skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands.
- A valid motorcycle license is a nice plus,but not required.

Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position with availability required during regular shop hours, including weekends and peak seasons.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
