Nisivoccia LLP is seeking a Supervisor of Commercial Audit to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview:
The Audit Supervisor plays a critical role in managing the audit team, ensuring compliance, and delivering high-quality service to our clients. This role involves planning and overseeing the audit process with our clients throughout the State of New Jersey and surrounding areas and maintaining strong client relationships. The ideal candidate is an effective communicator, detail-oriented, and possesses strong leadership skills to uphold our culture of excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead audit engagement teams through planning and execution of audit, review, and compilation engagements
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of audit engagements
- Manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a fast-paced, results-driven team environment
- Perform risk and control assessments, ensuring compliance with firm policies and industry regulations
- Review team members’ work for accuracy and compliance
- Report proactively on progress to the partnership, as appropriate
- Present audit findings and recommendations to clients and firm leadership
- Collaborate across multiple departments to drive efficiencies and client satisfaction
- All other responsibilities as assigned by Partners
Requirements
- BA or BS degree in Accounting
- 5-10 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on audit
- CPA license or actively working toward obtaining certification
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Basic understanding of QuickBooks
- Experience with ProSystem fx Engagement, FirmFlow, and GFR
- Non-profit experience preferred
- Proven track record bringing engagements to completion
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and lead a team
- Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to engage directly with clients
- High ethical standards, integrity, and reliability
- Previous leadership experience, demonstrating the ability to manage teams, lead multiple engagements and foster a collaborative work environment
