Additional locations include Schahfer Gen Station/Wheatfield, Michigan City Generation Station and the Hammond LOA/HQ on 167th, and the Hammond CISC/GOC/EDCC Complex at 165th street.

Job Summary

Maintain buildings, grounds, and equipment in a clean, sanitary and orderly condition; move office furniture and equipment; lock and unlock Company properties.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Dust office furniture, equipment, Venetian blinds, and light fixtures.
• Scrub, mop and sweep floors, halls and stairways; use scrubbing machines.
• Empty waste containers and dispose of waste.
• Wax, polish, and bluff floors, using buffing machines.
• Clean rest rooms and locker rooms; fill soap, towel, and other dispensers; disinfect toilets.
• Request supplies of low items from Supervisor and maintain supply.
• Wash windows, walls, ceilings, Venetian blinds, light fixtures and office equipment.
• Move, transport, and rearrange office equipment.
• Keep sidewalks and parking lots clean, shovel snow, and maintain lawns and yards.
• Lock and unlock buildings, offices, and parking lots.
• Operate Company vehicles.
• Take reasonable care of Company tools and equipment that are assigned to him during working hours.
• Keep assigned equipment work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
• Report irregularities and abnormal conditions.
• Direct and instruct employees assigned to work with him.
• Assist in the training of other employees.
• Order supplies/maintain inventory as needed.
• Perform similar or less skilled work in this classification or, when the diversity of work load requires, perform similar or less skilled work in equal or lower classifications.
• Perform duties in accordance with the Company's safety rules and operating regulations and practices.
• Complete any reports and forms used in connection with the performance of duties.

Required Qualifications for Position

• High School Diploma, or the equivalent.
