Essential Functions
- Accountability for procurement strategy
- Accountability for commodity strategy and management
- Achieves enterprise strategic sourcing targets and goals
- Collaborates with key stakeholders to understand Supply Chain needs
- Managing critical supplier contracts including issue identification, tracking and resolution
- Develops successful partnerships with key business partners to achieve desired results
- Develops a team of highly skilled employees accountable for delivering strategic results
- Leads research to understand the supply market
- Collaborates with the other Supply Chain leaders and key business partners to develop standards, guidelines and policies
- Achieves budget targets for area of responsibility
- Develops goals for strategic sourcing savings and performance
- Continuously identifies and implements strategies and improvement initiatives to reduce cost, improve quality and result in a lower total cost of ownership
- Supports enterprise supplier diversity goals
- Provides effective leadership to team and is focused on their performance
- Achieves compliance with SOX controls
- Develops forecasts and implementation plans to ensure goals are achieved
- Develops framework to continuously evaluate supplier performance
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college
- Proven track record to deliver results and achieve goals
- Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with others
- Extensive experience negotiating and managing critical supplier contracts
- Strong strategic capabilities
- Leadership experience building a high performing team
- Strong ability to build support and consensus
- Proven financial acumen
- Category management approaches
- Strategic thought capabilities
- Strategic Souring techniques
- Proven ability to negotiate complex agreements with suppliers
- Purchasing knowledge
- MBA
- Supply Chain experience in the utility industry
