Cashier

Nisqually Markets, LLC is seeking a Cashier for our Nisqually Markets. Nisqually Markets, LLC is a subsidiary of the Medicine Creek Enterprise Corporation, which operates retail gasoline and convenience stores in Thurston and Pierce Counties. We are growing rapidly with the much-anticipated opening of several new stores.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

· 6 months prior cashiering experience with accuracy handling cash, POS sales equipment and balancing register at shift end

· Exceptional customer service

· Provide customers with promotional deals and value of Nisqually Markets App.

· Stocking behind registers and handling food safely.

· Prepare routine shift reports and check for accuracy

· Maintain cleanliness of the store and property

Qualifications:

· Must be 18 years or older

· High School diploma or equivalent is preferred

· Ability to read and interpret documents

· Open availability: Stores are open 7 days a week from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM and some locations are 24 hours.

· Ability to lift up to 50lbs, be on your feet for long periods; climb a ladder; bend and stoop

· Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen (excluding marijuana)

· Must be able to pass background check

· Have or obtain Washington State food handlers permit within 14 days of employment

Starting Rate of Pay: $17.25/hour

Nisqually Markets has Native hiring preference for enrolled members of the Nisqually Indian Tribe or other Federally recognized Indian Tribe. Please attach a copy of Tribal ID card with resume.
