JOB SUMMARY: The Count Drop Clerk is responsible for performing the daily cash drop and count. The Count Drop Clerk must accurately record the content from the casino drop boxes while adhering to department policies and procedures. Additional duties include sorting the currency in the drop boxes and verifying strapping amounts of currency.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- The Drop and Count Clerk is responsible for the secure collection and/or count of drop boxes in accordance with department policies and procedures
- Perform the secure collection and accurate recording of drop boxes
- Verify and strap currency
- Open and empty contents of the drop boxes
- Prepare cash transfer to Cage
- Reconcile amounts posted to amounts counted
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Required skills and knowledge:
- 1 year of high volume cash handling experience.
- Basic math skills.
- Pass NRWC pre-employment testing.
- Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to obtain a Class III Gaming License.
- Demonstrate ability to work in a confined area and closely with others
- Demonstrate ability to comprehend and follow detailed procedures and instructions
Preferred skills and knowledge:
- Casino or Count Drop experience.
- 10-key experience.
- Knowledge of department Guest Service Standards
- Knowledge of casino promotions
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, squat and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to sit and/or stand for assigned shift in a confined space.
- Manual and finger dexterity for operation of personal computer and routine paperwork.
- Ability to tolerate a noisy, smoke-filled environment.
