JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the overall supervision of the Security Department in the absence of the Security Manager. Assist in the direct supervision and training of Security Shift Supervisors, and indirectly for all Security Officers, Security Dispatchers, Lead Security Officers, and Security Floor Supervisors. Assist with the department’s goal to consistently provide incredible security services to our guests and Team Members, while also promoting their safety.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required skills and knowledge:
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- 5 years of experience and/or training in law enforcement, security, or related field.
- 4 years of security experience in the gaming industry.
- 3 years of security supervisory experience in the gaming industry.
- Knowledge in all aspects of security, surveillance systems, safety procedures, emergency response procedures, and training curriculum design and development programs.
- Demonstrated decision making, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
- Knowledge of state/local laws and Tribal regulations.
- Ability to safeguard confidential information.
- Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED student and instructor certifications.
- Ability to obtain conflict resolution, defensive tactics, and handcuffing student and instructor certifications.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and provide a driver’s abstract must not contain any disqualifying events per the NRWC Safe Driver Policy.
- Basic math skills.
- Advanced report writing skills.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Pass NRWC pre-employment testing.
- Ability to work any shift including holidays and weekends.
- Ability to obtain a Class III Gaming License.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Assumes overall managerial responsibility for the department in the absence of the Security Manager.
- Maintains Security department policies and procedures.
- Oversees the handling, storing, and safekeeping of records, documents, logbooks and Casino assets.
- Completes detailed audits and reports as needed to ensure compliance.
- Cooperates with the regulatory agency in the investigation of criminal and civil violations and incidents.
- Responsible for multiple projects and tasks assigned by the Security Manager to support the overall operations of the Security department.
- Acts as the program manager for the Security Department Training Program.
- Conducts Security Team Member needs analysis to determine training needs; designs and revises training curriculum and methods to improve effectiveness.
- Provides continuing training of security team and other Team Members as needed to ensure the latest techniques for security and emergency and emergency response are integrated into the daily operations, providing the utmost protection of Casino’s assets, including Team Member and guest safety.
- Maintains all files related to training and notified Team Members in a timely manner to ensure that they attend required annual trainings.
- Assists with installation, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining access control systems, electronic key systems, locking devices, and related hardware.
- Conducts investigations related to lost or missing keys or prox cards.
- Oversees staffing and scheduling needs along with the timely completion of department evaluations.
- Recommends hiring and discipline within the department to the Security Manager.
- Knowledge of the location, operation, and maintenance of emergency equipment that includes first aid kits, AED’s fire extinguishers, wheelchairs, etc. Demonstrate proficiency in the use of all emergency equipment.
- Participate and qualify in various instructor level training programs such as First Aid/CPR/AED, and training on how to resolve and handle conflict, defensive tactics, handcuffing, etc.

- Participate in the Slot Machine and Table Games drop.
- Patrol casino, safeguard property assets, and identify and report suspicious activity to include but not limited to threats of theft, violence, intoxication, and/or drug-related activity.
- Responsible for adherence to safety requirements and OSHA regulations.
- Communicate essential information to Dispatchers and Emergency Personnel while maintaining professional composure and using proper terminology and etiquette.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
