JOB SUMMARY: Observe and report all activities, incidents or safety hazards to ensure protection of company assets, and safety of guests & Team Members. Respond to emergency situations as they arise. Provide excellent guest service using interpersonal and communication skills.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required skills and knowledge:
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Knowledge of departmental Guest Service Standards or similar experience.
- Must have a valid driver's license and provide a driver's abstract that must not contain any disqualifying events per the NRWC Safe Driver Policy.
- 1 year of customer service experience. Six months of volunteer experience can be considered as part of this requirement.
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally.
- Basic computer skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Pass NRWC pre-employment testing.
- Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to obtain a Class III Gaming License.
Preferred skills and knowledge:
- 1 year of experience and/or training in first responder, law enforcement, security, or military related field.
- Bi-lingual.
- Knowledge of Tribal-State compact for Class III Gaming and Appendixes.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, squat and lift up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to sit, stand or move continually for assigned shift.
- Manual and finger dexterity for routine paperwork.
- Ability to frequently to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger; handle, feel, or grip objects; stretch and/or reach with hands and arms; stoop; kneel; crouch or work in cramped or awkward positions; repetitive motions. Must be able to continuously climb and descend stairs safely.
- Ability to tolerate a smoke-filled environment; or to be outside for long periods of time and may be exposed to the outside weather.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Ability to operate assigned vehicles.
- Accomplish specific assignments, understand and comply with detailed verbal and written
- Instructions. Appropriately react to incidents and make decisions under stress or duress.
- Comply with the confidentiality policy as it relates to the release or disclosure of organizational and Team Member information.
- Demonstrate excellent guest service skills, cooperate with other team members, and provide guest information, assistance, and service.
- Ensures that only authorized personnel enter secure areas.
- Identify and report suspicious activity to include but not limited to threats of theft, violence, intoxication, and/or drug-related activity.
- Identify, assess, and assist sick or injured guests and Team Members prioritizing per triage guidelines, and provide basic first aid care.
- Knowledge of the location and operation of emergency equipment that includes first aid kits, AED's, fire extinguishers, wheelchairs, etc. Demonstrate proficiency in the use of all emergency equipment.
- Participate and qualify in various training programs such as First Aid/CPR/AED, training on how to resolve and handle conflict, handcuffing tactics, etc.
- Participate in Slot Machine and Table Games drop.
- Prepare clear, concise, and complete written reports as required.
- Provide security for organizational assets in accordance with established policies and procedures. Perform repetitive duties, respond to incidents, and correct unsafe or unsecured situations.
- Responsible for parking lot security and routine patrolling of casino property by foot, bicycle, or vehicle.
- May serve as the Casino Phone Operator as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
