We’re currently looking for an Infotainment Head Unit Application Engineer to join our team in Infotainment / Connected Car Engineering team at our Farmington Hills, MI location. This role will be responsible for development and application of Infotainment technology. Job functions Include but are not limited to: Design, develop, and release of Infotainment (Audio/Navigation) components to meet project timing and requirements Provide program management to coordinate supplier and internal development in order to meet vehicle project timing Identify, investigate, communicate and coordinate closure of issues across departments and regions as needed Managing and completing vehicle layout reviews of the Infotainment systems and related components within the Nissan CAD system Ensure best practices and lessons learned are implemented in the designs Determine root cause, short, and long term corrective actions for issues discovered during development Monitor and help improve quality of components in production Track cost and develop value optimized designs Minimum Qualifications: 3-5 years of related experience preferred BSEE, BSME, BSCS or related engineering degree preferred Availability to travel to supplier or plant periodically Recommended: Knowledge of NX CAD or similar CAD program Welcome to an open lane of possibility.
