General Role Description
Provide support and supervision of test lab activities, research potential design problems with products in the field, develop training material related to new product introduction.
Role Accountabilities
- Ensure client design issues with new products are resolved, including troubleshooting issues at the job site if necessary, documenting issues for escalation to development engineering
- Recommend product upgrades and changes to promote safety and functionality
- Develop commissioning checklists, coursework and safety procedures needed for successful deployment of new products
- Train clients and internal personnel on system commissioning, system maintenance procedures, and system operation
- Perform development testing activities as assigned to ensure work is accomplished productively and safely
- Facilitate factory witness tests to ensure client expectations are met
- Maintain lab equipment, including safety equipment, and instrumentation such that it is functional and in calibration
- Maintain current safety qualifications appropriate to the assigned tasks
- Adhere to both Company and client safety requirements as required
- Ensure a safe and organized lab environment, recommending upgrades and training as needed
- Ensure proper safety equipment is available and in good working condition, as assigned
- Bring full effort to bear on tasks assigned by manager
- Give manager best advice
- Give earliest notice when work cannot be delivered as specified
- Cooperate and collaborate with peers and interact cross-organizationally as specified by manager

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in science or engineering or equivalent via education and/or work experience
- Demonstrated experience with electrical equipment and electrical safety
- Demonstrated presentation skills
- Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts
- Demonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills
- Demonstrated continuous improvement in areas of responsibility
- Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Availability to travel, domestically and internationally, up to 30%, sometimes with limited notice
- Ability to work in outdoor environments in high and low temperatures
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. periodically
- Ability to work standing for long periods of time on hard surfaces
- 10 years of work experience in commissioning or customer support
- Field experience with power electronics products
- Demonstrated successful working relationships with a foreign parent or subsidiary companies
- Demonstrated success coordinating work of others to achieve assigned goals
