Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Leader to oversee and manage new model projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of automotive development, and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks effectively. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and in accordance with established quality standards.
Duties
· Assist in mold design and layout, and work with external tool makers to ensure timely delivery and maturation of injection molds, secondary machines, and fixtures.
· Facilitate various new model engineering meetings with both the customer and suppliers to ensure timely maturation of part design.
· Present status of schedule and cost to management at various stages of development
· Ensure timely and accurate completion of customer documentation requirements as required.
· Coordinate prototype line trials on and off-site at various development stages, and oversee the delivery schedule of prototype parts to customers.
· Perform analytical trouble shooting at manufacturing processes and investigate root causes and countermeasures when necessary.
Coordinate and lead internal meetings regarding tooling and equipment investment, customer’s plant requests for sub-assemblies, and packaging types and quantities.
Requirements
· Associate degree or other secondary education with project management experience and the ability to learn the technical aspects of injection molding part and tool design.
· Basic navigation skills of CAD software with the ability to evaluate part and tool data.
· Ability to comprehend plastic part and tool drawings and have an understanding of GD&T.
· Ability to interpret data and create charts using Microsoft Office tools for presentations with emphasis on possessing strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, and be proficient in Word.
· Must have a positive attitude and superior interpersonal skills to communicate and work effectively in a team environment, and with our customers.
· Must be detail oriented and have proven project management skills to meet deadlines.
Travel is required both within and outside of the United States. Valid passport is required.

Pay: $43,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
