Mold Setter
Nissen Chemitec, a plastic injection molding company located in London, Ohio is seeking an experienced plastic die setters to support our growing business.
Requirements
· A High School diploma or G.E.D.
· Excellent attendance record
· Able to communicate effectively w/ Supervision
· Available to work overtime when necessary
· Licensed to operate a forklift or willing to obtain one
· Previous experience operating and overhead crane.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned as needed.)
· Load and clamp injection molds into assigned presses using an overhead crane.
· Attach all electrical, hydraulic and water connections to the molds.
· Organize tools to expedite mold changeover time
· Make recommendations to ensure job safety & changeover time reduction
· Check press set-up against the printed mold set-up sheet
· Perform Level 1 Mold PM (In press cleaning of molds)
· 6S…clean area before leaving to ensure a clean workplace.
· Follow written policies & procedures per ISO requirements
· Assist in material changes as needed.
· Ability to startup presses and make processing adjustment is a plus.
Physical Demands
· Must be able to lift and/or move up to 65 pounds
· Perform physical activity that require use of arms, legs & moving your whole body, such as lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, bending, twisting, carrying objects & handling materials.
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception & the ability to adjust focus & differentiate between colors.
