What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Operator/Shipping - 2nd Shift Receiving position at NISSEN CHEMITEC AMERICA?
A trained and authorized material mover will be responsible for supplying packaging and removing finished product from area of responsibility. Staging trucks for loading & loading trucks.
Essential duties and responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned).
· Supplies necessary packaging to area of responsibility.
· Removes finished product from area or responsibility.
· Places product removed from floor in proper locations.
· The material mover shall complete a pre-shift inspection prior to operating any lift truck.
· All pre- shift inspections shall be turned into the department supervisor as soon as completed.
· Material Mover shall help in keeping the floor clean and organized in area of responsibility.
Safety
· Follows General Safety Rules.
· Uses required PPE as identified in PPE assessment.
· Follows The Powered Industrial Truck (forklift) Safety Rules
· Under no circumstances is the operator to make any adjustments to the motor, gears, governors or any part of any powered industrial truck.
· Material Mover shall report any and all accidents and near misses to a supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
Education and experience
Required
· The operator shall attend all classroom training, hands on training as well as any additional training identified by the management of NCA or as outlined in 1910.178 (OSHA standard regulation).
Preferred
· Previous Forklift experience
Physical demands:
· Performing physical activities that require use of arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, bending, stretching, twisting, pushing, pulling, carrying objects, and handling materials.
· While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to stand and walk. The employee is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, and to be able to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; talk; and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
2nd shift hours - 2:30pm - 11:00pm

As a Forklift Operator/Material Mover on the 3rd Shift, you will be essential in ensuring efficient materials handling and distribution within our warehouse. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will utilize your core skills in forklift operation and heavy equipment handling to load and unload products safely.
