Job Summary
Brief Description of Position
Supporting all departmental targets and to maintain building and equipment upkeep.
Essential duties and responsibilities (and other duties may be assigned).
- Support production and molding technicians
- Support general project assignments
- Perform equipment inspections and PM (Preventative Maintenance) on equipment
- Perform unscheduled repair as needed and assigned
- Record work done on proper formatted documentation.
Safety
- Wears Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) as required
- Understands and adheres to all lock-out/tag-out procedures at all times
- Follows general safety rules
Qualifications
Education and experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, prefer a candidate with an associate’s degree in engineering or maintenance related field.
- Repair and maintenance of Injection Molding Machines preferably Milacron, UBE and Mitsubishi.
- Maintenance and troubleshooting of ABB, Motoman and Star Robots and Part Pickers.
- Maintaining and troubleshooting of automated assembly equipment (Sonic Welders, Rivet/Staple Machines, Automation Inspection Machines, Visions Systems, etc.)
- Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems.
- Ability to weld and operate machine tools.
- Ability to program Allen Bradley PLC’s is a plus.
Physical demands :
- Performing physical activities that require use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, bending, stretching, twisting, pushing, pulling, carrying objects, and handling of materials.
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to stand and walk. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and to be able to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, talk and hear, taste and smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
